Training or Masochism?
Sometimes I wonder why I take work-related training. It seems the more information and education I get, the more I see and understand how messed up my work environment is. Before training, I had a feeling that things weren’t the best, but after training, I know things are not right and can now point out where things are screwed up. Only thing is, I don’t see how things will change in the direction they need to.
Yeah, I like learning new stuff, but it’s getting to be a painful, masochistic affair.

Dude Training is always a good thing. You’ll never know what you may be doing in the future…… You never know if the Donald may come knocking on your door to become his next person in charge….. Oh I should have place a last name to Donald….. It’s Mr. Rumsfield to you and me.
He could always get his way and fire everyone and start all over with contractors…….

Yeah, I know training is good. Just wish we could implement the good stuff we learn in training.
Rumsfield? Would rather hear from Donald Trump. At least he’ll come offering money.
I sense some bitterness about firing everyone and hiring contractors. A little too close to home?

Bitterness? I’ve come to realize over the years working as “contractor” or DOD employee your subject to times of stress IE your next employment. Although I can admit a DOD employee has less of a chance of getting fired or not being picked up by the sponser. Which brings back to TRAINING……. The more you know the more marketable your are….. But what happens when you are trained and very diversified in your skill level but never get a chance to impliment your “diversity” What happens to the skill……..? Looks really good on your Resume….. The trick is can you remember your training……. Unfortunately my brain capacity has dwindled throughout the years, I can’t even remember where I placed my car keys…. let alone implementing 10 steps for conducting a successful meeting.

So you saying that I gotta keep going to training to make my resume look pretty? Just like in high school, where I had to join clubs, do community service, play sports, etc to make my transcript “well-rounded.” I guess some things just don’t change.

I guess if your are a “Corporate Climbing employee” you could look at it that way. As for me I have no inclination to move up a corporate ladder…. But if they pay me to go to more classes I would go….. “Eddie Would Go”
