Attended the seminar The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness led by Dr. Stephen R. Covey himself. His son, Stephen M.R. Covey, also presented “Leading at the Speed of Trust” in the afternoon session. (There are five generations of Stephen Covey FYI).

The seminar was pretty good although I thought the material was soft and mushy. While I agree with the philosophies, I guess the presentation style didn’t really resonate with me. At the start of the seminar, I couldn’t quite follow Dr. Covey, and he didn’t seem warmed up yet. After about one hour though, he got into it and you could sense his passion for the subject. His son’s discussion about trust was a lot smoother and more balanced.

After understanding how things could be, the real question though is how do you get nugs to adopt the 8th Habit?
