Web Analysis with Google Analytics
Google just announced its free Analytics service to track and measure web site traffic metrics. Currently, I use the free Site Meter service but may have to check out Google’s offering. Google’s stuff tends to be pretty cool even if it’s the new kid on the block.
Also, I may need Google’s supercomputing capacity to track Pulpconnection’s whopping 12 hits per day.
Update: Whoa! Analytics is way cool and way too powerful for my needs. I used my Blogger/Gmail account name to sign up for the free service. Pasted the javascript code into my site’s template and Analytics did a check to see if I did everything right. Initially, Analytics needs a few hours to collect and build your metrics reports. What a number of reports there are! Executive, marketer, and Webmaster views are available, each with its own set of reports.
Can’t wait until Analytics really tells me that Pulpconnection gets a million hits per day!
