Playing Around with Google AdSense
After talking to a couple of folks who use Google’s advertising services, I decided to check out the Google AdSense program. AdSense displays Google ads on your site (that’s the new orange-grey bar near the top of Pulpconnection), and the site owner gets revenue when people click on these ads. These ads are targeted to your site based on your site’s content. Although I’m trying to see if I can always show ads I want like for Elements Hawaii or Hilo Hattie or Club 939 (though I don’t think they’re signed up with Google advertising).
AdSense also has two flavors – AdSense for Content and AdSense for Search. AdSense for Content is what I described above while AdSense for Search puts a Google search box on your site. Through this, visitors can search your site while Google gets more accurate info about your site and what people are looking for. I haven’t played around with the Search part enough.
So be sure to click on my Google ads and let the pennies start rolling in!

So do they send you a W2 at the end of the year from all the money you will be raking in?
