iTunes Multi-Pass, I don’t get it
Sounds like Apple is set to announce a monthly subscription-based model of purchasing television shows. Called Multi-Pass, subscribers can buy a month’s worth of a single television series for $9.99 instead of paying $1.99 an episode. Or at least, that’s what I think I understand Multi-Pass is about.
Would be cooler if Multi-Pass let you get all the shows from a single television network instead of a single series. For example, if you had a Multi-Pass for ABC then your $9.99 gives you access to all ABC shows for that month. We’re talking Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Commander in Chief, and more.
Seems like Apple is taking a different approach of marrying television with Macs (and iPods). They’re not going the DVR route of recording shows to a Mac, but instead downloading shows. May be a plan the network stations will approve of??
