Words of Wisdom from Ben Wallace
NBA All-Star and bruising Pistons center, Ben Wallace, offers these words of wisdom:
- A star team usually beats a team of stars.
- It may be better to give than to receive, but it’s also more satisfying to earn than to be given.
- Don’t stress if it takes you longer than your peers to get to your goal – life is not a race.
- Whoever said, “the best defense is a good offense” got it backward.
- Older brothers who don’t destroy you only make you stronger.
- You can’t cut corners if you want to be great. Natural skills are fine, but work makes you a champion.

Who knew the man was a poet. He certainly was not quoting these eloquent phrases when he and Ron Artest got into it last year. If anyone could read lips, during the heated exchange Mr Ben Wallace was not saying “Can’t we get All Along.” Find out who is his mouth piece. I’m sure he had some flash cards in front of him during the interview.
was that mean…….. Oh well

Big Ben is a passive poet that turns it on when he needs to. Just the kind of person I’d want on my team.

Love those words of wisdom. I need an older brother. That doesn’t destroy me of course. Then again my neck would hurt from looking up at him.
