Coke Blak Tastes Like…
Had an informal tasting session of the new Coke Blak coffee/soda, and the general consensus is that it tastes somewhat like Root Beer. Kinda like Root Beer Barrel candy actually. The coffee taste is very mild and the carbonation is tame as well. Overall, it’s a smooth blend of coffee and Coke – nothing too strong or overpowering.
Coke Blak does contain the artificial sweetener aspartame so it’s low on calories, 45 Calories for the entire 8-oz bottle.
I don’t know if I’ll continue to buy Coke Blak. Right now, the introductory cost is good ($2 for a four pack), but when it goes to regular price (over $6 for a four pack), I’m not sure.

Aspartame? Does it have that aftertaste? What is the caffiene content?

The aftertaste is pretty mild. Not strong like regular diet drinks. I guess since there are calories in the drink, there’s a blend of natural and artificial sweeteners?
Don’t know about the caffeine content. Can’t find that on the nutrition label. I’m guessing it’s about the same as a coke. I don’t get that rush like I do when drinking a Starbucks Double Shot.
