Foreign Relations at Work

At work, one of our guys came by and said they needed help getting a video projector to work. A foreign VIP was going to be presenting something, and they wanted to practice their PowerPoint slides. Okay, simple enough. So I began messing with the PC that was missing some hardware. I guess the VIP and his aide were anxious to get going so instead of waiting for me to fix the PC connected to the projector, they told me to hook up their laptop to the projector. Okay fine. So I connect it, and everyone in the room sees the projected PowerPoint presentation.

Now the aide asks why can’t he see the slides on his laptop screen and on the projector. He insists his laptop supports dual video so it should be working. Okay fine, so I figure I have to go to the Display properties in XP and check out the video settings (I normally do that by right clicking on the desktop and doing Properties). As the people start to file in for his presentation, I minimize his PowerPoint presentation to get to the desktop then lo and behold! As his wallpaper, this VIP or his aide has a picture of some hottie wearing something slinky with cleavage busting out. Ha! I hear someone (I think the VIP) mumbling something like she’s a very famous actress in his country.

Yeah, right.
