Broke My Mac!

Just to prove Mac OS X is not perfect, I managed to break my Mac by installing software that I probably shouldn’t have. That’s what happens when you don’t follow directions and read the instructions carefully!

Tried to make my Mac do some hocus pocus it wasn’t originally meant to do. Install a hack, use older hardware, and also upgrade to the latest OS X 10.4.8. Not a good combo. After skipping the warnings about uninstalling previous versions first, only installing if you have an Intel processor, and probably more, I proceeded with the installations. At restart, my Mac would never finish its boot sequence to the desktop.

I booted off of the OS X 10.4 DVD and reinstalled the operating system so I’m sorta back in action. Got to update the OS software and see if any other software needs reinstalling. So far, so good with my primary apps.
