It’s a Guy Celebration on Dancing with the Stars
Monique Coleman, the last celebrity female dancer still dancing, was eliminated on Week 8 of Dancing with the Stars. While she performs the most technically demanding routines, she couldn’t hang with Mario, Joey, and Emmitt. Again, it goes back to her fan base. Who is that? So the finals for Dancing with the Stars will be an all guy celebration.
With Jerry Springer off the show, Joey Lawrence borrowed Jerry’s antics with his entertaining tango to the theme song from the Addams Family. For this Halloween episode, I really wished Joey and partner Edyta Sliwinska would have dressed up as Joey and Blossom from the 90’s TV series Blossom. That would have been hilarious! Instead, the pair went for a sexy look with Joey relying on Edyta’s hotness to bring in the votes. Even senior judge, Len Goodman, commented about Edyta’s outfit.
The judges have figured out Mario Lopez and his weakness. While a great dancer, the judges all agreed that there’s no spirit or feeling in Mario’s dances. Because of his great form and technique, the judges are nitpicking at his performances and are basing their scores relative to Mario, not the other dancers.
As Carrie Ann Inaba pointed out, Emmitt Smith needs to work on his form and technique. He misses a step or two, but his natural charisma and character make up for it. He still has a chance of winning if he improves his precision.
