Small Kine Disappointed with Kim Coco Iwamoto
While watching the morning KHON2 news, there was a piece on the new members of the Oahu Board of Education. In it, there’s video footage of Kim Coco Iwamoto declining an interview and appearing to run away from the cameras (hey, the “new” KHON2 web site actually has this video available).
What’s up with that? I’m a little disappointed that she didn’t say something, even to take the opportunity to thank her supporters or to express her appreciation for new position. Maybe the video editing only tells part of the truth, and Manolo Morales, who was the on-scene reporter, did report that Kim Coco said “she’ll be around for the next four years, and she’ll respond to media questions at a later time.”
For a visible story like this, I would think being open and upfront is better than remaining silent and letting the public come to its own conclusions. What’s the general rule of communicating again? You’re better off communicating too much than too little.
