Double Listmania: Songs for SuperBowl XLI
Could it be? Two Listmanias running at the same time? Say it ain’t so! While you’re making your Fresh and Hot of Hawaii nominations, pick out a song for SuperBowl XLI.
It’s been a tradition for the Non-Fans to make musical picks coinciding with the SuperBowl, and now it’s time for this year’s picks. SuperBowl XLI is an all animal affair with the Colts taking on the Bears at Dolphin Stadium. What songs represent this year’s match-up, are popular now, or you simply like? It’s all good.
Have your song selections in before February 4, and I’ll make an iTunes iMix of the first 20 songs. And who knows, the Songs for SuperBowl XLI may very well end up being a Pulpconnection prize giveaway very, very, very soon.

I was rooting for a SuperBowl of the Saints and the Patriots – shows you why I’m a Non-Fan.
My pick is U2 and Green Day –
The Saints Are Coming (even though they ain’t).

Some songs that are bringing on a Superbowl XLI kind of feeling (besides currently being on my iPod) are:
* Feel It by Black Eyed Peas (Has a get up and get into the Superbowl feel; Hey, could even be a song played at Hawaii’s Premier Gentlemen’s Club)
* Wherever I May Roam by Metallica (Sorta tying into the animal type theme – Bears and Colts roam Florida in competition for the title)
* The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani (Yeah, it may be from a mediocre album but it’s a decent song and the Superbowl is a sweet escape for a lot out there, including non-fans that do their scrapbookin’/craft stuff)
I know you said one entry per person but take your pick or not.

This is old school, but I still love these songs by Queen:
We Will Rock You and We are the Champions.
Doesn’t relate to a Bear or a Colt but one of these teams will be singing this song at the end of it all.

Obviously, there are no Bears fan here… as it is imperative you have
‘SuperBowl Shuffle’ on your playlist for Sunday. 🙂

i can’t remember what i might have suggested on previous listmanias, so i’m just going to mention a few off the top of my head…
Republica – Ready To Go
Narcotic Thrust – I Like It
Signs – Snoop Dogg (With Charlie Wilson & Justin Timberlake) [Clean Edit] (So everybody can listen heh!)
one 90’s song…
K7 – Move It Like This (or Come Baby Come)
and going back to the 80’s…
Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch – Good Vibrations
Redhead Kingpin & The F.B.I. – 3-2-1 Pump!
i guess all the songs are (very vaguely) related to football. ^-^

Ryan, sorry, but I can’t find the Bears’ SuperBowl Shuffle on iTunes. I guess they don’t like McMahon, the Fridge, Sweetness, Singletary, and the crew.
You’re eligible to win but can’t add what doesn’t exist in iTunes. Sorry 🙁

Kimi, sorry, wasn’t Digi, but another Ryan.
Think I’ll use the Lazy Eye song for the mix.

I nominate Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake, or how about Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado? Both are soooo- good. Too hard to choose!

Alli, good choices. I’m not really a fan of Sexyback. I like My Love instead. Promiscuous is good!
