Went to my first UH Men’s basketball game of the 2006-2007 season, and thanks to the Greatest Legal Mind Ever, we got awesome seats in Row 10. Unfortunately, even without their alpha dog, Nick Fazekas, the Nevada Wolfpack was too much for the Bows, winning in overtime.
While the Bows played okay, they needed one of their scorers to catch fire but that never happened. If Nevada continues their winning ways with their injured star, they’ll be a team to watch in March during the Big Dance.
Some numbers from the game:
- 4 – WAC wins Nevada has to lead the conference
- 8 – lead changes during the game
- 15 – UH turnovers (too many as usual)
- 16 – Nevada wins this season (10 for UH)
- 23 – three pointers UH attempted (8 made)
- 42 – minutes Ahmet Gueye played
- 939 – who was at the game wondering how he could become a celebrity.
Next game I’ll be going to is against Louisiana Tech on February 10 (not on Wednesday, February 7, at 8pm).
