My New Ride!
After driving around two big, gas-guzzling vehicles, it was time for a change. Something smaller, quicker, and definitely more green.
So here it is, my new ride!
Yeah, sad the life. 🙁 Had some car problems this week. After work one day, old bessie didn’t want to start. Got a jump and was on my way to buy a new battery. While driving, I tried rolling up the windows, and they simply stopped. Then all the interior lighting and gauges went dark. The speedometer and tachometer were stuck and didn’t move, so even though the speedometer said 50, I wasn’t going 50. Luckily the vehicle was still in a drivable condition, so I went to a Toyota service center instead.
Fortunately, it was only a dead battery and no other serious electrical problem. But here’s the good/bad part. As the service tech was moving my car, he hit another car in the parking lot! The damage isn’t serious, but it still sucks.
Toyota is taking care of the damage and getting it fixed so in the meantime, I’m tooting around in a loaner.
Man, I haven’t seen manual windows in a long time.

That sucks. Had that happen to my Sienna where I brought it in for something and then they hit it while it was there.

WTF?! That’s just wrong. Maybe they should have more experienced people move the cars!

your loaner looks like one of those new cars that can change color!

Yeah, weird. In some lighting, my loaner looks like a sizzlin’ BMW 6 series but then the lighting changes, and I see a bluish green Corolla. 🙁
