Anyone Try Audiobooks?
Has anyone seriously tried out audiobooks? How’s that work out for you?
I was looking at buying the book The Dip by Seth Godin. Amazon sells it for 7 bucks, but after rummaging around the Net, I saw that the iTunes Store has an audiobook version for about the same price. Even though there’s a problem with the Audiobook version right now, I’m sure it’ll get fixed soon.
Just wondering what the audiobook experience is like. I’m used to reading a book with a pencil or highlighter in my hand in case there’s a nugget of wisdom I want to remember. Comments anyone?

They’re not too bad. I listened to fiction though so it was kinda weird listening to the narrator sometimes changing his tone to imitate a female. For this type of book it probably would be pretty good. It’s really good if you have long commutes or are stuck in traffic. You should try going to the library to see what kind of audiobooks they have to try it out first.

Library? What’s that? 😉
So are audiobooks in libraries on CD or something? Haven’t been to a library in years!
It’s a new book published on May 10, 2007 so may be too new for a library?? I’ll have to go ask a librarian. 🙂

They have audiobooks on CD or tape. That book is probably too new but you can never tell.
Stop by the Fort Shafter Library and you can check out their stuff also.
