The Inside 939 feature is still on even while Mr. 939 is out scouring the globe for talent.
So on the radio, I heard Da Bomb featuring a special guest appearance by Nautica Thorn at 939.
What kind of negotiations did it take to get her at the club?
The response:
actually, we were quite fortunate, as she was in town for a film shooting anyway and we didn’t have to pay an appearance fee. we tried to get her to come in for an appearance last year but she backed out at the last minute. for this event, we used a local promoter to promote the event, and in return he kept the cover charge at the door (i think he charged 10 or 12). we also agreed to pay for half of the advertising cost (radio, about $1500 i think). i havent heard about how the event went but i imagine it was packed cuz she’s pretty popular here in hawaii.
