Fake Steve Jobs Is Identified
The mystery identity of the Fake Steve Jobs (FSJ) who writes the great caricature over at The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs has been revealed. New York Times writer Brad Stone did the sleuthing and revealed FSJ to be Daniel Lyons, a senior editor at Forbes magazine.
Where did the inspiration for this blog come about?
I thought, wouldn’t it be funny if a C.E.O. kept a blog that really told you what he thought? That was the gist of it.
Known or unknown, it doesn’t matter to me. The writings of FSJ are funny and interesting in the light that Daniel Lyons has no insider sources at Apple. Everything written was extrapolated from on-line news sources and personalized with the voice of FSJ. That’s some great, creative writing.
I wonder what FSJ would have said about the recent Honolulu Advertiser article about Makaha Studios? This isn’t a controversial piece directly related to Apple, but I found the article’s picture enjoyable. The young, creative minds are all using MacBook Pros while the veteran sales director has some kind of Wintel box.
And oh hey, FSJ will continue to live on but now will be a feature of his employer, Forbes.
