Times Like These…
With parenthood comes the best and worst of times. I’ve thought about what to say for this post for some time, but now the words fail me.
All I know is I want my son to have a chance – a chance at freedom, a chance at normalcy, a chance to live.
I’ll keep this short and leave with lyrics from a song that’s been stuck in my head for awhile. It’s the Foo Fighters Times Like These…
it’s times like these you learn to live again
it’s times like these you give and give again
it’s times like these you learn to love again
it’s times like these time and time again

And it’s times like this when I don’t really know what to say, verbally and in writing. But I do want to squeak out that although they may be overbearing at times, I believe family and friends are great support that should be embraced.
This jump provides a suggestion for a “chore board” that may help. It’s not your situation but I thought maybe it might alleviate some of the additional “good intentions” you’ll encounter.
I also want to add that it’s amazing the resilience children have so do stay strong and vent when you have to.

I am a lurker. I have been for a while now, but I had to write.
I feel for you man. I will pray for the best and I know that Jesus will make everything okay.
I now go back to lurking.
