"Action" at the Honolulu Zoo
Whenever I’ve been to any zoo, it’s a tame affair. Most times, the animals are just lounging around, not doing much of anything – chewing some cud, swatting insects away, sleeping, or just looking bored behind the cages. During a recent visit to the zoo, there was a lot of “action” going on.
Let’s start with the hippos. Normally, I’ve seen hippos standing in the water with only their eyes, nose, and ears peeking above the waterline. Maybe there’s a blink or an ear twitch to observe, but not much more, except for this time. Who knew hippos liked to play ball?
Moving on, we came across this sign in front of the rhino exhibit.
Sure enough, the rhinos were “exhibiting.”
The rhinos weren’t that bad compared to this. Brace yourself for a shocking act of nature.
“Action” at the zoo for sure!
