Join Starbucks Gold?

Sometime this month, Starbucks will be launching its new membership to Starbucks Gold. As a SBUX Gold member, you get:

  • 10% off most purchases in participating U.S. Starbucks stores
  • A free drink when you purchase your Starbucks Gold Card in a Starbucks store
  • The option to pay for purchases any way you like
  • A special Gold Card that identifies you as a member of this group

Some gotchas – annual membership is $25 and you can’t combine Gold discounts with the normal Starbucks Card Rewards discounts. Is joining the Gold worth it?
