My Favorite Christmas Song
This post from the Evil DM reminded me how much I love Willie K’s O Holy Night (Po Hemolele). This has got to be my favorite Island-style Christmas song that I look forward to every year. You know it’s Christmas time when you hear this on the radio.
The power and sincerity of Willie K’s performance along with the understated accompanying score are a great combination.
This song was originally released on “A Night Before Christmas” by Willie K and Kapena. This is a great collection of Holiday music, but I don’t think you can find it anymore. 🙁 Fortunately, Willie K has made O Holy Night available on his own Willie Kalikimaka so everyone can experience the greatness of this song.

My favorite xmas song is Filipino Christmas by Frank Delima. Seriously.
I do like Willie K’s song you mentioned a lot, however I enjoy Natalie Ai Kamauu’s version more. She does not have it released, but she sings it every year at my daughter’s halau’s annual xmas show. She brings down the house with that song.
NK can validate that.

Wow, I want to hear that version if better than Willie K’s! No home video of one of these performances?
Pulling a brain fart, who’s NK?

I believe I do have a home video, but they were upset that people were posting the show on youtube. Considering the amount of hits my site gets, it would not be wise. LOL!
C’mon Hawaiian, NK is da one wit da escalade.

Couldn’t find the video on YouTube after just a few minutes of searching. 🙁 Oh well, wish it were available to share these special moments with the public.
Ohhh, NK. Tank running on empty after a few late nights with the family and kids.
