Polaroid Cameras Are Extinct?!
Before the instant gratification of the digital camera, there was the Polaroid Instant Film. You know the one that Outkast (incorrectly) immortalized by singing “shake it like a Polaroid picture.” Well, Polaroid stopped producing these cameras and film and sold off the production plant.
You do have one last chance of getting your hands on an authentic Polaroid camera and film at Urban Outfitters. They scooped up the last production of these now extinct items and will be selling their deadstock of 700 camera kits. You can pick up a Polaroid ONE600 Classic camera at Urban Outfitters starting Friday, August 21.

I used to have to shake-dry polaroids, even as late as the early 90s ๐

Actually, THAT polaroid camera was a 4-up we used when making employee and VIP badges for Wave Waikiki, Hula’s Bar and Lei Stand, and Malia’s Cantina (so no, I don’t have it ๐
At home, I have a polaroid instant printer that takes CF media and prints images onto polaroid 500 media. I still have a few boxes of it around.
