WDC Fail Yet Again?!
So it seems that every Western Digital drive I have owned is failing. We’re talking internal and external. I think this might be number 4, maybe 5, but I’ve lost count.
I thought it might be due to vog or HFMD or maybe it’s just the Windward air? I don’t know, but with every WDC drive failure, I get to try different brands of hard drives. Maxtor’s been good to me recently. Hmm, Toshiba drives on sale this week.

I’ve had a WD ext drive fail on me before, too. My preferred brand is Seagate. My old PC had two internals, my current Mac as two externals, and I use two portables for work. All Seagate. None of ’em have ever given me problems. And the portables are on sale @ Best Buy this week. 😉

Troy, thanks for the Seagate recommendation. The full size drives are fine (and cheaper). Oh yeah, that reminds me about the WDC laptop drive in an external drive enclosure that died too!

[…] Like with Western Digital hard drives, I continue to get burned with the visual appeal of International Delight. When will I learn? Oh wait, I forgot that I have a weak mind. […]
