Thanks for the Bold, Klout!
Now this was a welcomed surprise. Klout.com tagged me as an influence on Twitter coffee discussions, and as part of a new experimental promotion, gave me samples of Starbucks coffee. Cool!
No, I didn’t solicit Klout for anything, I just blog and tweet about Starbucks… a lot I suppose. So waiting at home, I found a delivery containing Starbucks’ Pike Place Roast, the bold Caffe Verona, and some coupons.
Oh, and since I did receive these goodies free of charge, I have to disclose that fact. But really, how can you complain about getting free goodies about something you enjoy and love? And how can you not appreciate a company for rewarding its customers? So kudos to Klout and Starbucks for a great partnership and promotion!
Now excuse me as a brew my cup of morning coffee. Will it be Pike Place or Verona? 🙂

Whaaaaa?, a box of free coffee and you’re willing to overloook the obvious privacy infringments? How is it that u Twitter a couple of times and a mysterious box shows up on your front door?! Next thing ya know, starbux will be implanting subliminal msgs into your brain that will make u addicted to their product….! 🙂

Nah, nothing like that. I left out the boring details that I filled out a form for the delivery. As a customer of Klout, they analyze your Twitter account for common themes. Coffee and Starbucks showed up for me.

Ditto what S said… does the post office secretly track twitter names, so now I can send you a post card simply by writing “@geewhy” on it?
