The FreedomPop Photon Is Tiny
I learned about FreedomPop, joined the beta program, and in one week, I was holding the Photon Wifi hotspot. It is absolutely tiny! The box is deceptively big, slightly bigger than an AppleTV (2nd generation) box.
I must say that many companies (including FreedomPop) have taken cues from Apple and their simplified yet exquisite boxing. After unboxing the Photon, you’ll be surprised at the size of the actual device.
I’ve barely played with it, but signal strength is good, and setup is absolutely a breeze. If you join the program, let’s become Freedom Friends to increase our bandwidth allotments.

So far so good using the FreedomPop. Coverage has been good and speeds decent. At a recent conference, there was free Wifi available, but sending email via Outlook and SMTP wasn’t working. I changed over to my FreedomPop Wifi and my emails sent. 🙂
