Disqus and Thesis 2 Friends Once Again
Looks like the latest versions of Disqus and the Thesis 2 theme have amended any previous disagreements. Before this, a Disqus comment box would be floating at the top of each post so I had to disable this favorite plugin.
But now, it appears the friendship has been restored and Disqus comments are appearing where comments usually appear. Thanks goodness since I was getting bombarded with a ton of comment spam.

How did you get the comments count to work in Thesis? I can’t get to display the number of comments.

Sorry Mr. E. After I wrote this post, I had made more changes and had to revert to Thesis 1.8. 🙁 There were a variety of reasons for this, primarily my purchase of a commercial Thesis-based theme that I thought would be ported to Thesis 2 (now, I’m not so sure). Sorry for the confusion but I am currently (April 2013) using Disqus with Thesis 1.8.

I’m using Thesis 1.8 and cannot get the comment count to update without syncing Disqus with wordpress. What’s your secret?

No secret. Moved back to thesis 1.8 and installed the latest disqus plugin. Been working well.
