Week 9 of 10’s of Dancing with the Stars
The semi-finals in Week 9 of Dancing with the Stars was sure filled with 10’s. I can’t believe Len Goodman almost gave all 10’s the entire night if it weren’t for an over-sexed Apolo and Julianne. All the dancers brought their best tonight.
Apolo Anto Ohno and Julianne Hough took on the quickstep and the cha cha. Great performances, especially their get-freaky choreography in the cha cha. Their gyrations to Push It by Salt N Pepa was too untraditional for Len who gave them his only 9 for the night. Other than that one-point deduction for raunchiness, all 10’s for Apolo and Julianne.
Ian Ziering had to bring in a life coach to get him to loosen up. I don’t think that helped, but wearing that Elvis wig did the trick! During Ian and Cheryl’s tango, I kept thinking that Ian can’t beat Apolo even with scores of 9-10-9 but then came the jive of the King. Donning a ridiculous Elvis wig, Ian had a breakthrough night dancing and with the judges garnering all 10’s.
Laila Ali and Maksim Chmerkovskiy did an interesting quickstep to Walk like an Egyptian. Talk about high school dance memories! Keeping with the theme of the night, all 10’s. Their stylish cha cha again got all 10’s.
Joey Fatone is still a big guy with a big butt, but he’s an effortless dancer. Joey and Kym Johnson’s foxtrot received all 10’s (surprise, surprise) and their snappy jive was perfect as well.
Who’s going to be eliminated in the semi-finals? This is a tough one, but I’ll go out on a limb and say Laila’s going to go.
The winner will be crowned next week!

Only caught Ian’s Elvis dance and it was pretty good. Not surprised he got all 10’s. I doubt if anyone will be able to take Joey out though.
