Marathon Winners Are Puny
Did you happen to see the monotonous Kirk and Kathy on KHON2 this morning along with firecracker, Justin Cruz? Kirk Matthews was interviewing the male and female winners of the 2007 Honolulu Marathon and did you see how tiny the runners were? Ambesse Tolossa of Ethiopia and Alevitina Biktimirova of Russia were the shortest ones of the interview lineup.
But then again, both runners needed translators and it didn’t help that Alevitina’s interpreter was former UH Wahine basketball player, Dainora Puida who stands 6-4. Next to her, everyone looked puny.
