No More Asians on Top Chef
What a surprise in Top Chef Episode 9, Napa’s Finest. In the last round before the finals, frontrunner (and only Asian) Lee Anne Wong was eliminated leaving Harold, Tiffani, and Dave. Dave cried his way to the finals, Harold’s stomach curdled his way in, and Tiffani crassed herself to Vegas, leaving Lee Anne to pack up her ginsus and go home.
This outcome caught the judges by surprise as revealed in their blogs. Both Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons didn’t think either Tiffani or Lee Anne would finish in the bottom of this week’s challenge, but there they were.
Up next for Top Chef is a reunion episode with the return of all contestants then in the following week, the two-hour finale to crown the Top Chef.

I was surprised as well – and disappointed. But I guess it’s hard to tell who’s the best chef as a viewer that does not get to taste the food . . . But I love Top Chef! I have never been so addicted to a reality show – and I’m not even in the industry!
Gee Why

Yeah, as a simple eater, I think I would enjoy Dave’s more basic but flavorful cooking. Some of the stuff the others make is way out of my league. Although I do want to taste some of the items to understand the terms they use.
Never had a truffle so I want to know what a funky, pungent, earthy smell and taste are like.
I’m not sure why this show is so addicting since the viewers are not involved in any way. No voting like other reality TV shows. Maybe it’s just the personalities on the show and the unknown industry of chefs? I must admit that since snooty Steven got kicked off, the show is missing something. Maybe that’s why Tiffani is still going cause she likes to stir the pot (figuratively and literally).
