Drawn Out Finale of Deal or No Deal
The season finale of Deal or No Deal featured a possible winning of $5 million. I think the previous high was $3M. Casey was the unlucky contestant who also happened to love Celine Dion and (tries to) sing Celine’s songs. So naturally, Celine Dion was a guest on the show via satellite.
This 90-minute finale lingered on and on, commercial break after commercial break as Casey kept eliminating high values. She wanted to open up one of her cases and host Howie let her and lo and behold, she eliminated her own $5M jackpot. Loser! She finally took a deal worth nearly $200,000, but her suitcase had $750,000. Double loser!!
Some random notes. The resurgence of Howie Mandel is complete. He’s a great host with pretty good lines and comebacks. Glad to see him lose that crazy hair of his. I wonder if the Models plan out statements to say when they’re selected. Some of them should just stand and smile. Don’t take advice from Celine Dion. She can fart and $5M will appear out of nowhere. This amount is chump change for her so of course, she’s going to advise “No Deal!”

She did get tickets to Celine’s Vegas show so that’s worth a bunch of money as well. Good enough.
Unless Celine passed gas, I don’t think she woulda given money. Probably all kinds of legal issues with NBC too.
