Movie Sales Going Well at the iTunes Store
After the first week of selling movies on the iTunes Store, Disney announced they made $1 million (which comes out to selling 125,000 movies). Not bad for one week of sales. Disney predicts $50 in revenue over the course of an entire year.
I did my part last night, pre-ordering Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest for $12.99. Although scheduled for release in December, I got some iTunes credit to spare.
Let’s hope other studios see Disney’s iTunes success and signs on to sell their movie titles on iTunes.
