No Ka Oi Runs Deep!
Wow, I didn’t realize how strong my No Ka Oi background was until I scanned my current rotation of kicks. Take a look. See the strong influence of red, black, and white colors?

Now that Barack Obama is officially sworn in as our new President, it’s time to say good bye to Mr. Bush. The Townhouse Spa is taking this farewell literally, offering huge discounts on bikini or Brazilian waxing for your Mr. Bush. Ha!
Wonder if local places like this will match the offer?
Went to the Honolulu Zoo over the weekend to see the baby tigers who weren’t so baby anymore.
These guys always look freaky.
The zebras were grazing.
The peacock was in full effect.
The animals were a lot more active in the morning time.
Economic times continue to be tough, especially in the electronics arena. First, all Circuit City locations closed their doors. Now Shirokiya is shutting down its electronic department.
What to do with the 3800 square feet of space? How about more seating to eat my bento so that I don’t have to jockey for tables? I know, along with more seating how about bringing the bird cage back? Not as huge as the old school Shirokiya, but have a good sized bird cage next to the additional seating area so patrons can watch the birds as they peacefully enjoy their meals.
Looks like kids are getting a break tomorrow. Wonder if the weather will be that bad?
Reporting in. My television is still working with Hawaii’s early move to digital television (though I had no concern as an Oceanic cable subscriber).
I’m still keeping an eye on our Roomba for any funny business.
I don’t know what’s up with Don Quijote, but come on now. I have to wonder about some of the products they sell. This is scary.
What do you make of this?
I should have known this bad weather and associated hassles was coming. It all started on Wednesday evening when I fumbled my iPod Nano in my car, and it fell into an open cup of water in the drink holder.
That night while doing dishes, I unknowingly got a glass bowl into the garbage disposal and started it up. Glass shards all over the innards of the disposal. Spent quite some time picking out the pieces. But it seems like a disposal can handle some glass.
Then of course, that night started the heavy rains and for us, power outage(s).
Thursday driving to work in the raining torrent was fun only to find that there was no power at work either.
Hope thats the end of it.
Wow, even more pictures I didn’t blog about. Went to Yogurtland in Manoa for the first time a few weeks ago. Heard repeated rave reviews, so I was looking forward to this venture. It was okay.
The variety of yogurts is impressive with all kinds of flavors. The crowds were there, and that dinky sample cup is a joke. It’s so easy to go overboard and load up with the toppings as well. I think we paid about $11 for two yogurts. Fun and interesting but I don’t have to go back again.

Speaking of traffic, I forgot that I snapped this pic while enduring an accident near the H3 tunnels.
The warning signs told motorists that the right lane was closed ahead, but for whatever reason, this driver decided to drive in the middle of both lanes for a long distance, blocking the flow of already congested traffic. Pick a lane!

Windward Mall continues its resurrection, now featuring snow this Holiday season. At every hour, artificial snow aka soap bubbles falls in the center court for 15 minutes. It’s kinda neat and the kids like it.
