It’s Green Monday!
Hey wait… what is Green Monday? When has that become a thing?!
Green Monday is supposedly the biggest shopping day in December. Did not know that…

How was your Thanksgiving weekend? Hope you ate and shop well. I must have eaten very well based on what AI-entity Siri told me via my first generation Apple Watch. Simply put, I overstuffed myself and my watch.
See the face of the Apple Watch separating from the body? Yup, a sure sign of overstuffing. Or perhaps yet another of my Apple devices boycots Thanksgiving?
But really, there is a known issue with swollen batteries for the first generation Apple Watches as I have learned. Amazingly, I text chatted with an Apple support rep on Thanksgiving day and was authorized a return to a service center. A FedEx box arrived on Saturday to ship out the working-but-separated watch. I shipped out on Monday and unbelievably by Wednesday, I had a replacement (first generation) Apple Watch on my wrist.
Thanks Apple! And Siri, I’ll try to cut back my eating during Christmas and New Years.
Uncle Clay’s House of Pure Aloha (HOPA) is well known in the islands for serving up some ono shave ice and just as much aloha. So much so that you may want to join the #HOPAlove movement by representing with your own HOPA shirt.
Luckily Ross shares your love, and you might be lucky enough to find a HOPA shirt on their racks. Now the shirt may not have a security tag nor a price tag… hey wait a minute, Santa sees you HOPA fan who likely “traded” shirts. Talk about dressing for less…
Update: Recently read about recent thefts from HOPA. 🙁
Now this is for all those spicy Cornholios out there! Check this out. Taco Bell has an amazing online store. Unfortunately, several items are already sold out, but this Taco Bell themed cornhole set is still available for $185.
I guess my Apple HomePod doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving either like Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving. Instead of happily playing music to prepare Thanksgiving meals, my HomePod refused to listen to any commands. Had to reset the HomePod and now it’s behaving once again.
Or perhaps SkyNet is becoming sentient.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Since I’ve been waxing nostaglic recently, here’s another. Tonight Is What It Means to Be Young from Streets of Fire, a Rock & Roll fable.
Wow, Tom Cruise was originally picked to play the lead role of Tom Cody and Daryl Hannah for Ellen Aim. Instead, Michael Pare got the role and a then 18-year old Diane Lane became the voice of the Attackers.
So many Black Friday sales and specials are going live on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. Is this the new Black Friday?
Can’t get enough of Rudy Mettia and his Yoga Warrior 365 series from Udaya Yoga and Fitness? Well, Udaya does have its own YouTube channel where they give away full length yoga classes for free!
But the catch is the YouTube channel only gives you a taste of their yoga programs and instructors. If you want full series of instruction, you need to subscribe to Udaya online and opt for the Standard ($14.99 per month) or Enhanced subscription ($18.99 per month). A few months subscription would make for a great gift for that yoga practitioner you know who wants to get deeper into the practice.
Here’s another collaboration with Sesame Street, and this time it’s with KAWS and UNIQLO. The UNIQLO shirts already released (and pretty much sold out), but there’s a winter line approaching featuring colder weather clothing. But along with the clothing are these plush toys featuring KAWS “X” signature design.
At $40 each, these release on Black Friday, and while a little creepy, they’re bound to sell quickly.
Talking about nostalgia, how about giving a pink box of memories to a sneaker head for Christmas? But it’s what’s inside the pink box that’ll be the gift itself and also one that triggers memories.
Inside the pink Nike SB box, you’ll find these. Do you remember them?
Okay, they aren’t the replica of the original Tiffany blue colorway, but otherwise these bring back the memories. Even when opening the box, that smell is familiar.
Nike SB did an excellent job with these and at “only” $100. Extra laces, removable swoosh, and those silver aglets are a nice touch. If you can find this 2018 version of the Diamond Dunks (black, white, or even yellow), you’ll make a shoehead happy this holidays.
Secret, secret, I’ve got a secret. I couldn’t get the Union Jordans today since the site thought I was a bot.
All I can say is “I’m not a robot without emotions, I’m not what you see.” I think I did manage to get every since error code on the site though.
Yet another nostaligic collaboration literally in time for the holidays. Watch maker, Swatch and Damien Hirst have come up with two great designs featuring an artistic rendition of Mickey.
Priced at $125 (Mirror Spot) and $185 (Spot Mickey), these watches look cool and are limited to celebrate 90 years of The Mouse. Oddly, you can only get these watches on November 18 for 24 hours, but the red, black, and yellow Spot Mickey is already sold out (kinda reminds me of an out of stock Nike reservation). You can add to cart the Mirror Spot and checkout, but I assume you won’t actually get the watch until after November 18.
So if you want to give this Swatch as a gift, you need to hurry!
