Fighting with MobileMe Passwords
Thought it was something I did, but looks like I ain’t the only one fighting with MobileMe passwords. Looks like the iOS 4.2.1 update triggered something. On top of that, there’s been that nuance of mac.com and me.com usernames – looks the same but I think they’re actually different.
Have to resync my computers all over again.
Holiday Gift Guide: Griffin Slap
This is very cool and hopefully available before the Holidays. The Slap by Griffin Technologies makes your new iPod Nano into a wristwatch. Available in a rainbow of colors, the Slap silicon shell protects your Nano and adds more value to this lilliputian device.
What Does this Mean for iTunes?
Oh just what does this countdown timer mean on Apple.com?
iTunes 10.1 was released last week so it ain’t that. What does it mean?!?
Steve Jobs Secretly ‘Hearts’ the Thundercats
You can’t deny the facts any longer. Steve Jobs secretly loves the Thundercats. Let’s take a look at the code names for Mac OS X releases, and you tell me if you see any Thundercats similarities:
- Cheetah (Cheetara)
- Puma
- Jaguar (Jaga)
- Panther (Panthro)
- Tiger (Tygra)
- Leopard (WillyKit, creatively speaking)
- Snow Leopard (WillyKat, creatively speaking)
And announced today is Mac OS X “Lion” aka Lion-O, Lord of the Thundercats.
Props to @valdezign for the Mac OS X Lion-O design.
iLife ’11 on Amazon
Sorta. Apple’s newest version of iLife, the 2011 edition, will be available at Amazon.com soon enough. While the product is listed, it’s also temporarily out of stock, but if you can wait a bit, you’ll soon be enjoying all the new features of iPhoto, iMovie, and Garageband.
Can You Hear the Cha-ching of Apple’s Cash Registers?
Do you doubt there’s a few more iPhone 4 converts out there after seeing King James wield his mobile weapon of choice?
Looking for an iPod Touch 2G Armband
Since I seriously think my customized iPod Nano is really, really zapped, I’m looking at using an iPod Touch, 2nd generation, during my runs. The Touch is much bigger than the Nano, and it does support the Nike+ running sensor and the new Nike+ GPS app (sans the GPS part for a Touch).
Now I need to find an armband for running. This Belkin DualFit armband looks okay and has good reviews.
Hmmm, I got my Nano in September 2007 and before that, a Shuffle in August 2005. Now in September 2010, my Nano is flailing. What’s with the months of August and September and faltering iPods?
Steve Jobs Is a Bad A$$ Ninja!?
I still believe this is true even though Apple issued a statement saying otherwise. Seemingly someone that looked like Steve Jobs tried to carry ninja shuriken on board an aircraft.
I can see Steveo doing this and explaining to the guards that it wouldn’t make sense to hijack his own plane (using the shuriken). Steve is a ninja!
I Zapped my Nano
You know you’re not supposed to disconnect an iPod or iPhone without ejecting it first right? You can get away with it many times, but sometimes, doing this misdeed can bite you like it did me. My trusty fat Nano was charging up, and I thought I had ejected it so I disconnected the dock cable.
Then I saw the Mac OS X warning message about improperly removing a disk. Whoops. No problem I though, I’ll just reconnect, and things will be fine. Not so much this time. The Nano still works but wasn’t recognized by iTunes. iTunes wanted me to restore the Nano to factory defaults. So I did.
I had to repick my music playlists, movies, etc., but now, the Nano keeps restarting itself when trying to apply the settings. 🙁
