Kailua Get One Subaru BRZ
At least that’s what I think is this car. Although I couldn’t get a clean picture, I think the rear said BRZ, so I’m sticking with my assertion that Kailua get one Subaru BRZ.

I knew it! This just confirms my suspicions about those who drive Toyota Corollas.
I always thought Corolla drivers were sneakily a freaky bunch. 😉
Watch this video of the reopening of Disney’s California Adventure Park featuring the new Cars Land.
The crowds must have been crazy! I wonder how long fans camped out to get early entry? But heck, if I was in the area, I’d want to be one of the firsts to see Cars come to life. Looks way cool.
Spotted this Tesla Roadster car in Nuuanu headed Windward bound.
Hmm, that’s two Tesla sightings now. Is there a hidden message ala Ryan Kanno?
Update: I thought it was a Tesla Roadster at first glance. Now, I’m not so sure.
Saw this TV commercial for the Volkswagen Tiguan and love it! Didn’t know what to expect from the Riding Dirty music, the bass boomers in the trunk, and the car’s underlighting.
Here are some shots of the new Toyota Prius V. Didn’t have time to take extensive pictures of the station wagon hybrid so just snapped pics of its distinguishing exterior posterior (aka the station wagon butt).
Oh yeah, this V is not mine, and I like the Clear Sky Metallic blue color.
I’m guessing pink headlights in cars are perfectly legal (though still irritating to oncoming drivers) since you can readily purchase kits to customize your ride. Even good old Amazon sells these kits at an affordable price.
I thought Hawaii Five-0 could have provided the impetus for custom toy car shop, Ridemakerz, to open shop in Hawaii. Just imagine building and customizing your take on Danno’s Camaro or a throwback of Senior McGarrett’s Grand Marquis. But nope, not the case. Regardless Ridemakerz has made it to Hawaii thanks to Disney, Cars 2, and Toys R Us.
Part of the Cars 2 craziness, you can pick up a prepackaged starter kit or fully stocked kit and customize your own Cars vehicle. Unlike actual Ridemakerz stores, you don’t assemble your custom car in the store, taking away from the overall Ridemakerz experience. But I guess this is as good as it gets.
Just don’t expect top quality plastics and fine details with the prepackaged kits. Obviously, the Ridemakerz stores have more selection of parts and availability of the remote control engine, but I think you still can construct a cool Cars car with these kits.
Disney’s Cars 2 doesn’t come out until June 24, but the push of its products has already begun. There’s the Cars 2 Lego sets found at Toys R Us.
And special deals like getting a Cars 2 backpack after purchasing $10 worth of Cars 2 merchandise at Safeway.
If you can’t find the Cars Lego locally, Amazon has a wide range of sets.
Sure, Apple’s AirPlay is a silent but potentially potent technology, and it might be built in to your next television. But where it’s really needed is in cars, more specifically cars with entertainment systems, like minivans with a video screen for kids.
Having a DVD setup just ain’t enough, and it is a hassle to change discs. It’d be much more elegant to wirelessly stream a movie playing off an iPhone. No stretching behind to eject a DVD in the ceiling mounted player, no fumbling around with the remote control, just play and stream.
