Free Coffee to Save Our Forests
A nice treat to start the morning, free coffee from Starbucks for bringing in my traveler’s mug and at the same time, save our forests.
A nice treat to start the morning, free coffee from Starbucks for bringing in my traveler’s mug and at the same time, save our forests.
On Thursday, April 15, you can save our forests by cutting back on paper cups. To help this cause, Starbucks is giving away free brewed coffee if you bring in a reusable travel mug.

Now this was a welcomed surprise. Klout.com tagged me as an influence on Twitter coffee discussions, and as part of a new experimental promotion, gave me samples of Starbucks coffee. Cool!
No, I didn’t solicit Klout for anything, I just blog and tweet about Starbucks… a lot I suppose. So waiting at home, I found a delivery containing Starbucks’ Pike Place Roast, the bold Caffe Verona, and some coupons.
Oh, and since I did receive these goodies free of charge, I have to disclose that fact. But really, how can you complain about getting free goodies about something you enjoy and love? And how can you not appreciate a company for rewarding its customers? So kudos to Klout and Starbucks for a great partnership and promotion!
Now excuse me as a brew my cup of morning coffee. Will it be Pike Place or Verona? 🙂
Four trenta sized coffee drinks at 30+ ounces each equals the 120-oz Plenta?! What a great Starbucks drink on April 1st.
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 was Free Pastry day at Starbucks. Did you get yours? Here’s what I saw on my way to get a free pastry.
Stuck behind a school bus that made several stops, and yes, legally both lanes of traffic must not pass.
As expected, there was a line at Starbucks, pretty short though.
At last, my free pastry (coffee cake in the bag) with the purchase of a bold coffee in my OG Starbucks traveler’s cup.
Starbucks is having another free pastry day, and this time Hawaii, well Oahu, is included in this deal. Last time Starbucks had this promotion, all of Hawaii could not participate. Free pastry day at Oahu Starbucks is Tuesday, March 23, 2010 until 10:30 am or until pastries run out.
You do have to purchase a drink to get your free pastry. And these free pastries are also free of artificial flavors, dyes, trans fats, and high fructose corn syrup. So don’t worry about indulging on your free fat pill. 😉
There was no day five with a Starbucks Dark Cherry Mocha. After four straight days with this drink, I overdosed and wasn’t interested in one more drink to finish the week. Oh, I did go to Starbucks but got a (stirred) caramel macchiato instead.
Thursday marks my fourth day downing a Dark Cherry Mocha. After a week of this (and $20 spent), I think I’ll be over Starbucks’ latest addiction.
I hope I don’t start peeing dark cherries…
It’s my third day drinking Starbucks’ new Dark Cherry Mocha drink. I figure if I overdose on this fruity deliciousness right away then I’ll be over it soon enough.
There’s just something about the drink’s name that’s sorta taboo and sorta risque. Makes for an interesting drink nonetheless. 😉
When your Venti-sized Starbucks just isn’t enough caffeine, here comes the trenta. This 31-oz iced tea or coffee is being tested in select areas.
But no, you cannot get your favorite latte-based or frap drinks in the trenta, only iced coffee or tea. Can you imagine the calories in a trenta-sized frappuccino??
