Possible Day Biz Model for Club 939
So Hawaii’s hottest gentlemen’s club, Club 939, is a place for nocturnals. But what about the daylight hours? Isn’t there a whole business opportunity being missed when the sun is out? Consider this daytime business model – a scantily clad coffee shop!
Despite the economic recession, this market has been quite successful in the Southern California region. That is young, clothes-challenged women serving up coffee and non-alcoholic slushees to primarily male patrons.
Just think of it, a Mr. Coffee (or even a $11,000 Starbucks Clover system), the same talented employees, and the Club 939 Café is now open for business!
Anteaters Enjoy their Coffee
The Anteaters of UC Irvine, the Home of Eater Nation, like their coffee. A full fledged Starbucks store has infiltrated the campus taking the spot of the school’s outside cafe.
The school itself has gotten a facelift with major renovations of the exterior of the Student Center.
The inside of the Bookstore looks about the same though with lotta love for Team Edward.
And the UCI Medical Center by Disneyland also completed their new facility.
I Need Me a Starbucks Plug and Pour
Wow, I need me one of these new fandagled Starbucks Plug and Pour USB sticks.
Wonder if it works with an iMac or MacBook Pro? April Fools!
Win Free Starbucks Stuff (from BevReview)
Sadly, this is not a Pulpconnection promotion, but no matter! Bevreview.com is giving away canned Starbucks Doubleshot drinks (including the new Cinnamon Dulce) and a USB-powered beverage chiller. No lie! Head on over to Bevreview.com to enter. One catch though, you have to be on Twitter and follow @bevreview in order to win.
As a referral to this contest, don’t forget to give @geewhy some lovin’.
Starbucks Via Ready Brew Explained on YouTube
Since Starbucks’ new instant coffee, the Via Ready Brew, won’t be available around these parts for some time, you can learn more about making instant coffee the Starbucks way from this YouTube video.
Introducing Starbucks VIA
Starbucks has officially launched its new instant coffee line called the VIA Ready Brew. You know the drill – just add hot water, and you’re ready to go. But Starbucks claims that VIA actually resembles coffee.
Don’t believe the caffeinated hype? Try VIA yourself (if you hurry), and get a free sample mailed to you by filling out this form. Otherwise, VIA costs $3 for a pack of 3 or $10 for a 12 pack.
And follow @Starbucks on Twitter for lots of updates. I asked if VIA was available in Hawaii yet, but not until later this year. 🙁
Instant Starbucks Coffee?
From this Starbucks Idea post, it sounds like Starbucks will be entering the instant coffee market starting next week.
Oh no, an instant way to feed the addiction.
Breakfast Deals at Starbucks
Staring in March, Starbucks is going after the cost-conscious coffee addict with the introduction of breakfast Meal Deals. For $3.95, you’ll get a tall latte and pastry or a drip coffee with a breakfast sandwich.
There’s no mention of my favorite cheapo combo of coffee and a pastry. I guess you still can get that for less than $3.95 (and don’t forget the 10% discount for being a Gold member).
