Rona Loves: Got None
The powdered donettes that is. Couldn’t find a single iconic red box of the discontinued Love’s Bakery Donettes anywhere .

Let’s just say this day has been a rough one. All in all, it’s just another Saturday but from a copping kicks standpoint, I got donuts. Nada. Zilch. So what better way to commemorate this than by eating some donuts. But you know what kind of day this has been right?
Of course, there were no donuts left. OF COURSE!
First of all, I don’t recall Kailua having a Dunkin’ Donuts, but seemingly there was one that closed in 2005. Anyways, while stuck in traffic on Kamehameha Highway in Pearl City, I remembered that previous Dunkin’ Donuts location.
Hey wait, was the Kailua Dunkin’ Donuts in the Foodland complex shared with Big City Diner?
The gluttony of living social led us to the McCully Shopping Center and Regal Diner (which is also a bakery with tons of donuts, go figure).
Although they weren’t fully stocked, there was still a good selection in the late afternoon. A $20 deal went a long ways, stuffing a box full of colorful treats. The donuts weren’t bad at all though I didn’t sample all the flavors. I’d say no to the green tea the next time around. The chocolate sprinkled one was good as well as the basic apple fritter. And yes, the entire box is gone after one day. 🙂
