Got Daft Punk Random Access Memories
After hearing iTunes stream of Daft Punk’s new Random Access Memories, I was sold and bought their latest. Have you? And I hope you didn’t steal the stream.

Sisqo of Enter the Dragon fame fortold Lululemon’s current quality problems with their popular yoga pants being too sheer, revealing too much of the wearer. Sing it, Sisquo!
I am simply in awe over this (info)graphic depicting the taxonomy of rapper’s names. All I can say is, “Word.”
How can a shirtless Justin Bieber test the performance and scalability of your servers? Witness a shirtless Biebs engaging his fans online during the Grammys. He tweets his intent to talk live on Livestream. Magnified by retweets from Beliebers, the traffic to Livestream crushes their service.
JB then jumps to Ustream with the same disappointing results. Dejected, Justin has to post stuff in a non-live venue to appease his fans. So the best stress test for your systems is actually this.
Though I don’t think any amount of scalability can withstand the onslaught of traffic to see Justin Bieber’s next tattoo.
What happens when your child asks iPhone’s Siri, “Where is Alaska?” Juvenile’s Back That Azz Up starts playing!!
Sing it for us Juvenile!
Although the Non-Fans got together to watch Ray Lewis finish his NFL career as a Super Bowl champion, we did not put together a music playlist. So I took the liberty of assembling a few songs in honor of the Ravens and 49ers in SB47. It goes like this:
Back in 2001, the Baltimore Ravens beat the New York Giants, 34 to 7, in Super Bowl XXXV. Fast forward twelve years, and the Baltimore Ravens are once again Super Bowl champs, beating the San Francisco 49ers, 34 to 31, in Super Bowl XLVII.
As tradition, the Non-Fans got together during the Super Bowl for everything but football. Back in 2001, we came up with music playlist.
Oh and I had forgotten all about that huge vat of Zippy’s mac salad.
Yeah, I’m a lover of kicks aka sneakers but even with this penchant, I have to question and chuckle at the design of the Jabra Solemate portable speaker. According to reviews, this small unit is tough and can deliver the tunes. But with its ridged base, well, this speaker looks like a shoe or a boot – interesting but not necessarily advancing the fashion trend. The ridged sole is functional, hiding an audio cable.
Although the Solemate looks funky (even to this shoehead), it’s gotten good reviews for its price point. So if you’re not swimming in the million$, be sure to give the Solemate a listen (and a chuckle).
Time for Christmas shopping is just about over. It’s way too late for online orders to arrive, and if you can’t find anything in the local stores, what are you going to do? How about online orders that are available immediately? Something like handpicked tunes for a music fan.
Here’s my collection of highlights from Rihanna’s discography.
This is by no means comprehensive, just some of the songs in my iTunes playlist. While you’re listening in, take notice of Rihanna’s album artwork. You’ll see a progression from a fresh face in the music industry to a veteran vixen.
Now it’s officially on, Christmas that is. I heard Willie K singing O Holy Night on the radio, and that, of course, marks the beginning of the Hawaii holiday season.
Who has the better collaboration with Mariah Carey on her holiday hit, All I Want for Christmas Is You. Is it Justin Bieber or Jimmy Fallon?
Justin Bieber
Jimmy Fallon
I’m thinking Jimmy playing a wood block has my nod. And is that a Fisher Price xylophone on wheels?
