After a short run, I hear Tiger Woods through my earbuds congratulating me on my fastest mile. I forgot about these little encouraging cameos from Nike+.
Okay, so it wasn’t really my fastest mile ever, but after resetting my iPod, all my previous accomplishments got zapped so I get to hear these surprises once again. 🙂

My Nike Air Moto 6+ running shoes were already wearing down so I picked up the Nike Structure Triax+ 12 in silver and black.
So far, loving these shoes. Usually, I go for the cushioned ride provided by Air Max technology, but the Structure has responsive Nike Zoom instead. I think the Foot Bridge is giving the stability and comfort I need.
All this tech including the Nike+ iPod integration ain’t helping my runs but the runs ain’t hurting me either so it’s all good.
That’s why I’m tired! I’ve run 200 miles and burned 17,700 calories in 2008 according to Nike+.
Pretty cool use of the stat tracking of Nike+. And here’s my sickly looking Nike+ Mini. I got to fix him up a bit.
Taking a page from the Nintendo Wii playbook, Nike introduced its My Nike+ Mini personalized avatar. These little guys are supposed to reflect your Nike+ recorded runs and show status based on energy levels or something like that.

The 2007 Pulpconnection Holiday Gift Guide is starting early this year. Last November, the Nike Amp+ wristwatch and iPod Sports Kit controller was featured. This year, the Amp+ is actually shipping.
