LeBron Dunkmans Are Popping
I haven’t bought a pair of basketball shoes since I retired from the game, but these Air Max LeBron VII Dunkman Editions might change my mind.

Is that how Perseus felt riding atop the winged Pegasus? I surely doubt it, but for me, I am getting blisters from running in my new Nike Air Pegasus 26+ shoes. I’m hoping this is just part of the break in process.
With the 26th model, the Pegasus line has a long history of running, and it is a no frills runner’s shoe with the right amount of tech in the right places, no more, no less.
University of Hawaii basketballer, Rod Flemings, has his unique sense of style with his kicks. In 2010, he’s at it again with a garish display of every color in the rainbow and then some.
The kicks are custom made and molded to better fit Rod’s dogs, but my question is how does Rod get to don the Swoosh when the team is sponsored by the three stripes of Adidas? Is there some kind of medical clause? Does Rod (or the school) pay a fine or something? Hope these rainbow Nikes lead the Rainbows to victories.
After 72 runs and 209 miles, I think it’s time to replace my Nike Structure Triax+ 12 running shoes. These shoes were great but have recently started to feel soft and spongy like it’s not providing firm support or adequate cushioning. Maybe I’ll get another pair.
Or maybe I’ll take a look at the Lunarglides or Air Max 2009.
Over on Slam Online, they’re reminiscing the top basketball kicks from the 80’s, 90’s, and now. Without a doubt, the 90’s was my kicks era. Let’s check them off:
A very nice stroll down the kicks memory lane indeed.
The reborn Nike Trainer 1 has been out for a few months and are now available in various inspired colorways. For you New York Yankee fans, you can get a Yankee-themed Trainer for $90 from the online Nike Store.
Nice and clean design, very easy to wear with anything.
Even though LeBron shut down talk about his whereabouts for the 2010 season, just remember, kicks don’t lie.
At least in the basketball shoe industry. The Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade has been named the Air Apparent to carry on the Air Jordan shoe line. After moving from Converse to Nike then to the Jordan Brand, Wade will debut the Air Jordan 2010 as early as Christmas.
The official release date of the 25th edition of the Air Jordans is February 13, 2010 and will cost $170.

After experiencing [re]think Hawaii and TEDxHonolulu, life treated me to a few celebrity sightings. First, there was Olena Heu who looked dashing in purple while shopping at Costco. Then there was yet another Jorge Garcia sighting at a Farmer’s Market. I saw him buying fresh vegetables as I was driving in, but by the time I got to the market, he was gone. I know Internet law says “pictures or it didn’t happen” but sorry, you have to trust me on these.
I do have a picture of this “celebrity” who, while working at the Farmer’s Market, was rocking some rare Tiffany Diamond Dunks!!
That, people, is celebrity status!
What did I spot at Ala Moana this past weekend? How about this $175 Juicy bag for a grandmother?
Not your thing? How about some Nike Lunarglides?
And in case you forget, here’s a shirt to remind you.
Awesome (and expensive) Star Wars Lego.
And Legos are cool! Just ask Naveen Andrews aka Sayid on LOST who picked up some kits. Yes, that is really him. I recognize him from the last time. And no, I didn’t want to bug him for a picture during his family time in a crowded toy store full of people.
And as I was leaving while eating a wicked Haagen-Dazs Dazzler, I saw this tweet.
The low cut LeBron’s look fresh. Double stacked Nike Zoom… ah who cares, look at the patent leather accents!
Just looking at the Nike LunarGlide+ running shoe. Technology of this shoe powered by Dynamic Support system, Flywire, and Nike+. Customer rating of 4.45 stars, $100.
Yet another want…
