Nike Trainer Reborn
Back in the day, Bo Jackson and John McEnroe wore Nike Air Trainers and made them classic kicks. Taking from this inspiration and enlisting Bryan Clay, Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald, Troy Polamalu, Brandon Roy, and Amare Stoudemire, Nike has given life to the Nike Trainer 1.
The Trainer 1 features Nike DiamondFLX, “a patent-pending outsole system that provides flexibility and support through multi-directional movement,” a Max Air unit, and FlyWire.
These kicks release on July 1, 2009 unless you’re a supporter of boxer Manny Pacquiao. The Pacman and Nike teamed up for a special version of the Trainer 1 that went to his friends and family and with 100 pairs sold in select stores.
If Wolverine Wore Nikes…
If Wolverine wore Nike kicks, he’d be rocking these Air Max 95.
The high tops are for Wolvie’s nemesis, Sabertooth.
Loving My Nike Structure Triax+ 12
My Nike Air Moto 6+ running shoes were already wearing down so I picked up the Nike Structure Triax+ 12 in silver and black.
So far, loving these shoes. Usually, I go for the cushioned ride provided by Air Max technology, but the Structure has responsive Nike Zoom instead. I think the Foot Bridge is giving the stability and comfort I need.
All this tech including the Nike+ iPod integration ain’t helping my runs but the runs ain’t hurting me either so it’s all good.
Kanye and Air Yeezy at Kicks HI?
For certain, Kicks HI (Makaloa version) is releasing the Nike and Kanye West kicks collaboration, the Air Yeezy, on Saturday, April 4. What isn’t certain but hinted at is the appearance of one Mr. West at the store in person. CK of Kicks HI has this to say:
there is a more than slight possibility that some special guest friends who are in town at the moment might come through for the release of the Air Yeezy
Hmmm, is Kanye in the 808 state?
LeBron Soldier III Is Ill
Every year, LeBron James changes up his signature line of kicks during the playoffs and switches shoes. This year, LeBron will be battling in the Solider III. These look absolutely ill!
So many colorway variations are possible as a team shoe.
Memphis Now Rocking the Swoosh?
Missed this, but there’s been a change in the kicksology of the NCAAs with Memphis dropping Adidas for Nike. The Tigers now rock the swoosh, not the three stripes. In fact, here is a special makeup of the Nike Team Hyperdunk adorned with the Tigers “Refuse to Lose (RTL)” motto.
Must rethink my bracket with this drastic change…
Nike’s Twilight
Who knows, maybe the upcoming release of Twilight the movie on DVD had something to do with this, but Nike has released its own version of Twilight in the US.
I wonder if one of the Cullens would wear this?
No Burst or Current
Had a chance to try on the Nike Huarache Burst and the Air Max 90 Current over the weekend. Sadly, neither fit well so I had to pass on both of them.
Sticking with the Bright Cactus.
