Amazon Prime Day on July 12
Tuesday, July 12, 2016 is Amazon’s second annual Prime Day where Prime members get access to deals and other exclusives. But yes, you need to be a (paying) member of Amazon Prime in order to partake. Supposedly Amazon sold more on Prime Day than Black Friday. You in?
Amazon Prime Day in Less than a Week
Next week Wednesday, July 15, 2015, is Amazon Prime Day supposedly with more deals than Black Friday. Open only to Prime members, you are obliged to check it out just in case you do spot a spectacular bargain. I have low expectations of finding anything that I really need but you just never know. If you’re not a Amazon Prime member, it’s not too late to sign up.
Is It Time for Prime?
Loved that Amazon online ordering and timely delivery for Christmas? Might as well increase that joy by becoming an Amazon Prime member. Sure you have to pay an annual fee of $79, but as part of this service, you get online access to movies and television shows, Kindle books, and better shipping speeds.
Join Amazon Prime now and get a full year’s worth of benefits before and through next Christmas.
Amazon Prime Instant Video Disappointment
One of the draws of signing up for Amazon Prime is the free access to its catalog of streaming videos. Sadly, only after trying to troubleshoot why this wasn’t working with my Tivo box, did I find the answer. Amazon Instant instant videos don’t work with Tivo as stated in the FAQ.
At this time, Prime instant videos are only available for streaming and cannot be viewed on a TiVo box.
I’ve rented movies from Amazon in the past, and these movies have worked with my Tivo, just not these (free) Prime videos. Don’t know why, but it is disappointing.
