Why I Need to Stay Away from Kicks Sites
This is why me and my (lack of) willpower needs to stay away from kicks web sites รขโฌโ the Nike LeBron X Prism.

I’m a Liar with No Will Power
There I was in the beginning of November ready to contain my kicks buying bender. I had everything I needed kicks-wise with my latest addition of a Roshe Run. I needed no more kicks for 2012. Then Black Friday came. Nike online features a clearance section as always, but couple that discount with an additional Black Friday 25% off and free shipping.
I didn’t stand a chance, succumbing to temptation and picking up a pair of Nike LunarGlide 4. But at 50% of the going cost.
Air Jordan XX8 to Be Worn by Ninjas?
I’m not sure what to make of the silhouette of the newly announced Air Jordan XX8. From initial pictures, I’d say these will be worn by ninjas, by fishermen (they remind me of tabi), or by Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe.

Eight inches tall, a zip up upper, responsive, light, and expensive at $250 a pair.
From a design perspective, there are elements from other Nike shoes. The sheathed upper definitely brings back memories of Gary Payton’s The Glove.
There’s also a feel of the Jordan XVIII back in 2003 when MJ played his last days in the NBA.

The midsole reminds me of a variation of the Air Jordan XVII.

When the Thunder’s Russell Westbrook unveils the XX8 on the hardcourt on Tuesday night maybe initial opinions will change. All I can say for now is #DareToFly.

Shutting Down My Kicks Buying Bender
With the Holidays fast approaching, I need to stop my kicks buying bender. I’ve been on a roll recently adding more and more shoes to my collection. Kicks have been incoming faster than outgoing ever since I discovered Nike’s online clearance section. You never know what you’ll find there and oftentimes, it’s something good at a great (cheap) price. Not only that but shipping for purchases over $99 is free and return shipping of unwanted items is free for Nike members. So all around, great perks if you’re looking to buy a pair (or two or three) of shoes.
After getting the Air Max Trainer 1.3, Jordan Trunner Flash (and returning them), and the Jordan Dominate, I thought I was set. Yes, thought.
Then came some pre-release images of the Nike Roshe Run Trail. Since learning of the Zen origin of the Roshe Run, I’ve been looking for a pair, but the ones I’ve seen in the wild were all mainland bought. Then finally, the Roshe Run Trail version showed up at Nike.com. I bought them though at original cost, giving me three pairs of shoes in about two months.
And now it’s time to end it for 2012, really end it. My collection is at capacity, and I need to save funds for Christmas presents. So no matter what Air Max Express, LeBron X, Braata Mid, Fighter Jet Foamposites, or Flyknit Trainers release in the next few months, I must resist and be satisfied with these in cargo khaki/white-canyon gold-black.

LeBron No Ka Oi
All I can say about this release of LeBron X+ is LeBron No Ka Oi.
A high school basketball team decked out in $200 team sneakers? Only at private school! ๐
Yes, I know the image is big and extends outside the main column, but I kinda like this effect. I’ll probably leave it large for awhile. ๐ Okay, scaled it down to size.
Holiday Gift Guide: Custom Designed Kicks
Letting a shoehead design his own kicks is a gift of sublimity. Oh the possibilities… like this pulpy inspired LeBron X iD.

You just keep trying variation after variation and have fun with it. There’s no such thing as too loud, too gaudy, or too bright. You simply have to go for it. Merry Christmas.
Honolulu Nikes Are White and Green
Nike has a new colorway coming out for the Air Max 90 shoe. The colorway is dubbed “Honolulu” and is white with various green accents. Why white and green colors are matched for Honolulu, I don’t know. Maybe it’s a stretch for the white and green of the University of Hawaii? It’s not a bad color combo by any means, just not that obvious with the color choices.
The Way of Wade
So it’s come to pass with Dwyane Wade officially leaving Nike and Team Jordan to join forces with Li-Ning, headquartered in China. His signature kicks are called the Way of Wade and will run somewhere’s in the $120 price range. Is DWade’s move a sign of things to come regarding kicks endorsements in the NBA? Quite possibly.
The first run of the Way of Wade is okay in my eyes. Nothing great but nothing hideous either. The “W” in the laces is gimmicky but not at a great expense. I just can’t shake the design vibes from the Zoom LeBron I, II, and III.
Nike Air Max Trainer 1.3 Images
Got these Nike Air Max Trainer 1.3 from Nike’s online clearance section. I can live with the dark grey/varsity red colorway at a major discounted price.
Only thing is these shoes make my feet hot. They don’t ventilate well, and I guess that’s why Nike sells the Trainer 1.3 Breathe version.
Pictures of Jordan Trunner Flash and Dominate
Just some pictures of the Jordan Trunner Flash and Dominate. No reviews.
Flash, Dominate, 1.3
What does Flash, Dominate, and 1.3 all have in common? These are Nike shoes that I recently ordered hoping to find a good all round shoe. I’m looking for something comfy to wear for extended periods. Unfortunately, Nike no longer seems to make the Metal Max or TL lines that were sturdy and supportive.
Since I couldn’t find all three of these shoes in one retail store, I bought them all online with the intent of returning two (or more… or less).
The Jordan Trunner Flash with the Brilliant Green accent looks cool, but I have my doubts about wearing this for hours. So I kept looking and found the Jordan Trunner Dominate in the Nike online Clearance section at 40% off. The Dominate doesn’t look more supportive than the Flash, but its description says otherwise.
If you’re interested in the clearance section, be sure to check daily with frequent updates and additions. You might even luck out and find the correct size of a shoe that’s $70 off its original price tag. That’s the surprise I found with the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max+ in a dark/cool grey, varsity red, and white colorway. Not my first choice of colors, but it works with that big discount.
Now to try them on and see which pair I’m keeping.
