BOGO Starbucks Hawaii Cold Cups
If you always wanted to get yourself a Hawaii-themed Starbucks Cold Cup, now is the time. At some locations, you can find a BOGO offer on these tumblers. This Buy One Get One deal is good until June 25.

Seals Love Starbucks?
Who knew Hawaiian monk seals enjoy their Starbucks just as much as we do?

Actually, an overexcited (and unsupervised) youngster was trying to climb up to get a better view of the seal. In the process, his drink went over the railing. Fortunately, the aged seal didn’t really show an interest in the (empty) cup, and the staff workers were able to retrieve the cup without incident.

Starbucks Opens at Disney
Today marks the opening of Starbucks in Disney’s California Adventure Park. Don’t you need a cup like this?
You’ll have to head to the Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe to get your Starbucks fix.
Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café is the first location ever inside a Disney theme park where you can enjoy refreshing Starbucks coffee and espresso drinks — including flavored lattes, iced coffees and Frappuccino® blended beverages. The café also serves some of your favorite signature Starbucks breakfast sandwiches and pastries.

Got the Instapaper
Yoda808 gave me the heads up so I went back to my favorite Starbucks and got myself Instapaper, this week’s app pick of the week. Â Instapaper, the overall service, is awesome. In essence, you can save web pages for offline viewing. But there’s much more. You can share page links easily, view web pages in a stripped down version getting rid of ads and other distracting visuals. You can even configure popular Twitter apps like Tweetbot to integrate with Instapaper.
All I’m trying to say, really, is go to Starbucks, and pickup the Instapaper freebie this week. It’s so worth it.
Kayak Pro Pick of the Week
If you haven’t done so already, travel lovers need to stop by Starbucks for the Pick of the Week. This week features the iOS app, Kayak Pro.
Thanks to Chad Ochocinco and His Stolen Starbucks Gold Card
First off, I am bummed that NFL receiver Chad Ochocinco lost his Starbucks Gold Card in a recent car break in. While his iPod and wallet were taken, the wallet was later found with credit cards and license in place. Just his personalized Starbucks Gold Card from the Starbucks Rewards program was missing. The card was charged up with $220 too! 🙁 Hear Chad lament his missing card.
But this does explain an anomaly seen here on Pulpconnection. Today sees a significant surge in traffic going to this post from 2009, Starbucks Gold Is Now Starbucks Rewards.
Seems like there are quite a few concerned Starbucks Gold Card members who are following Chad’s plight. But don’t fret, Starbucks replaced Chad’s card so he doesn’t have to eat all those lemon loaves again.
Restocked Picks at Starbucks
After not having much luck with Starbucks Picks of the Week, reader Yoda808 commented.

So I headed to a different Starbucks location and was welcomed with a well stocked selection.
What a difference a store makes! Thanks Jasmin Hilario for keeping your Starbucks in tip top shape!
On a more recent visit, I also picked up Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, Naples episode.
The Happiest Place in the World Got Happier
Disneyland, the Happiest Place in the World, just got a little bit happier… for caffeine addicts anyways. Starbucks is joining Mickey and Donald in the Magic Kingdom.
What took so long? I don’t know but are you willing to pay for a $7 coffee drink? I’m just guessing at that price, but I can definitely believe it for a Venti.
New from Starbucks: Refreshers
Catching Up with Starbucks Freebies
Even though I was away at Shaver Lake for only a short while, it seems like I missed out on quite a few freebies from the Starbucks and Apple collabo.
From the App Store, there’s Snapseed. The iTunes Pick of the Week is Leonard Cohen’s Banjo. The iBookstore offers up the Best American Series – 20 Short Stories and Essays. Lastly, the free TV episode is WordGirl’s Thorn in the Sidekick/Crime Takes a Holiday.
