This is more of an idea rather than a gift recommendation since this product doesn’t exist that I know of. But how about retro-ing a UH basketball jersey for Hawaii Head Coach Bob Nash? With the elder Nash as head coach and son, Bobby, in his senior year, this is the best time for this throwback.

Jeff Jordan, son of His Airness, is coming to Hawaii this week as the Illinois Fighting Illini take on the 0-and-1 Bows. I wonder if Mike will be taking a short Hawaiian vacation?
I have to keep an eye out on Jeff’s kicks to see if he gets any custom Air Jordans…
The latest fad in the hoops world is to get yourself an abnormally tall Asian dude on your team. The UH Men’s basketball team is now hip with this fad signing 6-10 Ji Xiang.
After you shake off the obvious first question of just where do all these tall Chinese guys come from, you have to wonder if this guy can really play. I mean UH did have seven footer Todd Follmer last year, and well, he did diddley going for 1.6 points and 0.7 boards a game.
Ji Xiang averaged 20 points and 12 boards a game during high school and will be a freshman enrolling at UH. Supposedly notable teams like Oregon, Oregon State, Georgetown, and Fresno State were recruiting Ji so we’ll see if Ji Xiang can really xiang the ji on the court.
Gotta keep an eye out for them Ji jerseys.

After talking about the behemoth that is now Bobby Nash, aka B.Nasty of the UH Men’s basketball team, I dug through my old emails and found this.
Check out the biceps from B.Nasty from a few years back.
His game changing four-point play against Rice.
UH could have used some of his lucky game winning shots against New Mexico State last night. He backironed his three-point attempt. UH can compete and hang with the WAC leaders but can’t beat them. Not good.

Went to my first UH Men’s basketball game of the 2006-2007 season, and thanks to the Greatest Legal Mind Ever, we got awesome seats in Row 10. Unfortunately, even without their alpha dog, Nick Fazekas, the Nevada Wolfpack was too much for the Bows, winning in overtime.
While the Bows played okay, they needed one of their scorers to catch fire but that never happened. If Nevada continues their winning ways with their injured star, they’ll be a team to watch in March during the Big Dance.

Next game I’ll be going to is against Louisiana Tech on February 10 (not on Wednesday, February 7, at 8pm).
